Great White/Jack Russell’s Great White/Jack Russell Discography Rankings

Great White is another band I love very much and even have some personal connection with.

Unfortunately, Great White are more known to many now for the band that played at a club that caught fire by their pyro in 2003, which killed several people.

Rest in Peace to everyone who perished there.

However, Great White should not just be remembered for that tragedy.

They have made lots of great music and I hope will make more great music in the future.

Unfortunately also, their classic singer Jack Russell (who was touring and recording with his own version of the band for many years and made a few awesome solo albums too) passed away in 2024.

I was able to meet him in 2023, and he signed three of my favorite GW albums and took some pictures with me and was very kind.

I will forever miss him.

But the band is still rocking and I’ve seen them without Jack and they are still awesome.

Their singer Brett Carlisle high-fived me at a show and guitarist Mark Kendall handed me a guitar pick.  And I have most of their autographs, via their website.  Thanks guys.

I know they have been recording demos and I hope another album will be released someday.

Until then, though, here is my ranking of Great White’s albums.

I usually wouldn’t do this, but I’m also going to include Jack Russell’s Great White and Jack’s solo albums too because they are awesome also and deserve to be ranked here.

Here I go.

  1. Can’t Get There From Here
  2. Hooked
  3. Psycho City
  4. Rising
  5. He Saw It Comin’ (JRGW)
  6. …Twice Shy
  7. Once Bitten Acoustic Bytes (JRGW)
  8. Once Bitten
  9. Let It Rock
  10. For You (Jack Russell solo)
  11. Great White
  12. Shot In The Dark
  13. Great Zeppelin:  A Tribute To Led Zeppelin Live
  14. Great Zeppelin II:  A Tribute To Led Zeppelin (JRGW)
  15. Recovery Live! + On Your Knees
  16. Shelter Me (Jack Russell solo)
  17. Elation
  18. Full Circle
  19. Live
  20. Sail Away
  21. Back To The Rhythm
  22. The Essential Great White (compilation which also includes covers that the band or Jack did on tribute albums)/Covered (I’m including both of these here)
  23. Stage
  24. Anaheim Live
  25. 30 Years:  Live From The Sunset Strip

I did not include a couple of live albums here because honestly, I’ve yet to buy them because they’re hard to find.

Hopefully I will buy them someday.

Please go listen to these guys.  Trust me you won’t regret it.

Jack Russell is one of the best singers.

Mark Kendall is a phenomenal guitarist.

Great songs.

What more can you ask?

I miss you Jack.
