Deep Purple Splat! Album Review

Deep Purple released their latest album Splat! July 3rd.

Like their last several albums, Deep Purple prove that artists can still make some of their best music ever late in their career.

Deep Purple started in 1968 and are still as vibrant and powerful as ever.

Still 3/5 the famous MK II lineup (singer Ian Gillan, bassist Roger Glover and drummer Ian Paice) along with keyboardist Don Airey (who has been in the band since 2002) and guitarist Simon McBride (replaced long standing guitarist Steve Morse a few years ago), their latest album Splat! ROCKS!!

Since starting to work with Producer Bob Ezrin roughly 16 years ago, Deep Purple have really been on a roll with their albums.

This album (Splat!), along with =1, Whoosh!, Infinite, and Now What?! are some of their best albums ever, in my opinion.

And they’ve made those in the last 16 years.

And in concert, they are still great.

Again, you can be well into your career and still make great music.

Deep Purple are still awesome.
