Deep Purple Studio Albums Ranking

Deep Purple are another favorite band of mine.

They are still making awesome albums and touring today.

It still features classic members Ian Gillan (vocals), Roger Glover (bass) and Ian Paice (drums).

Original organist Jon Lord passed away several years ago and guitarist Ritchie Blackmore has long been playing in a band with his wife called Blackmore’s Night.

But as I said, Deep Purple are still going strong and aside from stopping for several years between 1976-1983 have been around since the late 1960s.

I’m only ranking their studio albums because they have so many live albums and as many of them as I have, there are many I don’t have.  They’re all good/great trust me.

Here it goes.

  1. The Battle Rages On
  2. Perfect Strangers
  3. Deep Purple In Rock
  4. Abandon
  5. Burn
  6. Stormbringer
  7. Come Taste The Band
  8. Now What?!
  9. Purpendicular
  10. Infinite
  11. Machine Head
  12. =1
  13. Whoosh
  14. Slaves And Masters
  15. Bananas
  16. Fireball
  17. Who Do We Think We Are
  18. The House Of Blue Light
  19. Rapture Of The Deep
  20. Turning To Crime
  21. Shades Of Deep Purple
  22. Deep Purple
  23. The Book of Taliesyn

Massive discography from a great band.

Lots of lineups but it’s all good stuff.

Deep Purple are still big, but I think they should be even bigger.  They definitely used to be.  One of the biggest innovators of Hard Rock and even Heavy Metal music.
