My Ranking of The Beatles Albums
The Beatles are the biggest and most important band in history.
Period.
Whether you like them or not, this is true.
To not be around for too long, they made such an impact.
Not just on music but society.
No band will ever be as big as them.
Impossible.
I soooo wish that John Lennon and George Harrison were still alive, but I’m glad the music is still here.
I’m fortunate to say that I did see Paul McCartney in concert once, as well as Ringo Starr twice.
I’ve been a fan of The Beatles since I was little.
Ranking their albums is kind of tough because I love pretty much everything they did, but here it goes.
- Abbey Road
- Let It Be
- Rubber Soul
- Revolver
- Magical Mystery Tour
- A Hard Day’s Night
- Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hears Club Band
- The Beatles (White Album)
- With (or Meet) The Beatles
- Please Please Me
- Yellow Submarine
- Help!
- The Beatles For Sale
- Past Masters Volume 1 and 2 (compilation featuring singles and b-sides)
- Anthology 1, 2, and 3/Now And Then Single (I’m just putting them together)
- Live At The Hollywood Bowl
There it is. My ranking of the discography of the most important band ever.
The Beatles!

My Motley Crue Discography Rankings
Motley Crue is another one of my favorite bands.
I don’t like how the Mick Mars (guitar) dismissal was handled, but otherwise, I’m a big fan and have seen them many times in concert.
In fact, besides KISS (my favorite band), I’ve seen Motley more than I’ve seen any other band and enjoyed it every time.
And I love their discography.
Here is my ranking of their albums.
- Shout At The Devil
- Too Fast For Love
- Generation Swine
- Theatre Of Pain
- Motley Crue
- New Tattoo
- Girls Girls Girls
- Dr. Feelgood
- Red White & Crue (compilation featuring 3 new songs or 4 if you got it on import. I really love those songs. Also, this has the two songs that were new on their 1998 Greatest Hits album too that I really love.)
- Saints Of Los Angeles
- Decade Of Decadence (compilation album with several new and exclusive songs)
- Cancelled EP
- The Dirt Soundtrack (features 4 new songs)
- Carnival Of Sins Live
- Live :Entertainment or Death
- Quaternary EP
- SEX and All Bad Things singles
There you go. I love this band and I’m not changing my mind about it.

My Van Halen Discography Rankings
Van Halen is another one of my favorite bands of all time, especially the years with singer David Lee Roth.
Guitarist Edward Van Halen (RIP) is one of the great guitar players for all time.
The rhythm section of bassist Michael Anthony (later Wolfgang Van Halen) and drummer Alex Van Halen was always great.
When I heard their song Runnin’ With The Devil, I was hooked.
Their first album will always be my favorite album of theirs and my favorite debut album from anyone.
I think their discography is great, especially the Dave years.
I prefer his eras because I think the band rocks more with him and are more fun.
But I do really like the albums with singer Sammy Hagar also, and even most of the one album with singer Gary Cherone.
But the Dave ones are THE ONES for me.
This one is not as tough for me, so here it goes.
- Van Halen
- Van Halen II
- Fair Warning
- The Best of Van Halen Volume 1 (compilation featuring one Sammy era song originally from a soundtrack and 2 new songs with Dave back as their singer. I love those 2 songs sooooooooooooo much that I rank those two songs this high up on the list.)
- 1984
- Women And Children First
- A Different Kind Of Truth
- Diver Down
- Tokyo Dome Live In Concert
- 5150
- For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge
- OU812
- Balance
- Van Halen 3
- The Best Of Both Worlds (compilation featuring 3 new songs with Sammy on vocals)
- Live Right Here Right Now
There you have it. One of the best bands ever, in my opinion.
I’m very partial to the Dave years, but the Sammy stuff overall is great and I really like most of VH3 with Gary Cherone.

My Aerosmith Discography Rankings
I’m in the process of ranking some of my favorite bands/artists discographies.
This time, it’s Aerosmith.
Definitely one of my favorite bands ever.
The lineup of singer Steven Tyler, guitarists Joe Perry and Brad Whitford, bassist Tom Hamilton, and drummer Joey Kramer will always be phenomenal to me.
Like all of these rankings, it’s tough because I love pretty much all their albums.
Some of the live albums I haven’t heard as much, but they’re all good too.
I could always change my mind, but here is my ranking of Aerosmith’s discography.
- Toys In The Attic
- Rocks
- Aerosmith
- Draw The Line
- Get Your Wings
- Get A Grip
- Nine Lives
- Permanent Vacation
- Pump
- Night In The Ruts

- Just Push Play
- Music From Another Dimension
- Rock In A Hard Place
- Honkin’ On Bobo
- Rocks Donington
- A Little South Of Sanity
- Live Bootleg
- Classics Live
- Classics Live II

Regardless of how I rank these, I love Aerosmith sooooo much and I’m glad they made all of these albums.
