    My Judas Priest Album Rankings

Judas Priest is one of my favorite bands of all time.

To me, they are the second Heavy Metal band in existence (1st is Black Sabbath).

    Their impact is enormous.

Judas Priest have influenced so many bands.

Rob Halford, in my opinion, is one of the greatest singers of all time.

Their classic guitar duo of Glenn Tipton and KK Downing are my favorite guitar team and cannot be touched, even though there are other greats.

They are the one Metal band that have always waved the Metal flag and have been proud to call themselves a Heavy Metal band.

I don’t think they’ve ever released a bad album, but I am going to do my best here in ranking their discography.

Mainly their studio albums, but I’m going to include their live albums too because they are great too.

This is really tough, but here is my ranking of the Judas Priest discography.

    1. Painkiller
    2. Screaming For Vengeance
    3. Defenders Of The Faith
    4. Turbo
    5. Unleashed In The East
    6. British Steel
    7. Sin After Sin
    8. Stained Class
    9. Hell Bent For Leather
    10. Ram It Down
    11. Jugulator
    12. Demolition
    13. Point Of Entry
    14. Angel Of Retribution
    15. Firepower
    16. Nostradamus
    17. Invincible Shield
    18. Redeemer Of Souls
    19. Sad Wings Of Destiny
    20. Rocka Rolla
    21. Priest…Live
    22. War Pigs Single (Featuring Ozzy Osbourne)
    23. 98 Live Meltdown
    24. British Steel Live
    25. Live In London
    26. A Touch Of Evil Live

    Wow that was really tough.

I only thought of this as I was typing it.

The Iron Maiden discography ranking I thought of and changed around all the way up to typing it.

But this one I made up right here.

Ask me in 5 minutes, and I’ll maybe rank it differently, and it’s tough because I love most of these albums, and don’t dislike any of them.

But anyway, here is my ranking of the greatest Heavy Metal bands of all time.

    Judas Priest!!

    My Iron Maiden Album Rankings

Iron Maiden is one of the biggest Heavy Metal bands ever.

They are still going strong in 2025, 50 years after starting.

Bruce Dickinson, who has sang on most of their albums, is one of the best singers/frontmen in history, as far as I’m concerned. Paul Dianno was a very good singer earlier on and I don’t mind Blaze Bayley in the 90s, but Bruce is the guy.  Period.

The guitarists Adrian Smith and Dave Murray, along with Janick Gers later on, are just phenomenal.

Drummers Clive Burr (RIP) and later Nicko McBrain are two of the greats.

And founding member/bassist/songwriter Steve Harris is untouchable.

I feel they have been mostly consistent with their discography, so it’s really hard and maybe unfair to try to rank them starting with my favorite and ending with my least favorite.

I’ve already changed it a few times since typing this, but for now, this is my ranking of Iron Maiden’s discography.

I’ll just rank the studio albums because there are so many live albums and all of them are solid, but I will just say my favorite Iron Maiden live album is Rock In Rio, released in 2001.  OK here it is:

    1. Brave New World
    2. Powerslave
    3. Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son
    4. The Number Of The Beast
    5. Somewhere In Time
    6. No Prayer For The Dying
    7. A Matter Of Life And Death
    8. The Final Frontier
    9. Book Of Souls
    10. Fear Of The Dark
    11. Iron Maiden
    12. Killers
    13. Piece Of Mind
    14. Dance Of Death
    15. Senjutsu
    16. Virtual XI
    17. The X Factor

There’s no right or wrong answer, but this is how I’m ranking the great band Iron Maiden’s studio album discography.

I may change my mind in 5 minutes, but this is it for now.

I’ve been re-listening to their albums recently, and decided to rank them on here.

If you see this, let me know what you think and if you’re a fan of their work, how would you rank them?

    Let me know.

    Rock on everyone.

Metal On Metal and Rock Comedy: Anvil/Don Jamieson/Pulsifier Concert Review

I’m not going to many concerts in 2025, but I could not miss this one.

Anvil w/comedian Don Jamieson, and newer band Pulsifier at a cool club/bar called The Machine Shop in Flint, Michigan.

Pulsifier started the show with a solid, rocking set.

This band includes singer MeA, guitarist Christopher Skehan, bassist Patrick Ouellette, and drummer Jay Allen Grant.

They’ve only been around since 2023, but I think they have a strong, promising future.

We need more new good rock bands and they are one of them.

    Seek them out.

After Pulsifier ended, comedian Don Jamieson did a 30 minute standup routine.

Don is also known as one of the hosts of VH1 Classic’s That Metal Show.

Don was very funny, and even bagged on me a couple of times.

Hey, you have to expect that from a comedian, so it was OK.

Plus, when I met him after his set, he just said he was busting my chops and appreciated my being a fan of his.  He also signed his CDs that I bought from him and the ones I brought with me and took pictures with me.

His jokes were mostly rock related, and was very funny.

I shot some of his set (video below), so please check it out.

Thank you Don for the laughs and for your kindness.

The great Canadian Metal band Anvil ended the night with a PHENOMENAL show.

Singer/guitarist Steve “Lips” Kudlow, drummer Robb Reiner, and bassist Chris “Christ” Robertson are all great at what they do and just kick butt!!

They all seemed to be having fun and so were the audience.

Lots of old songs and some new/newer songs and they all sounded great.

Thank you guys for all the amazing albums (I can’t wait for more.), for the great show, and for your kindness too.

I met Lips and Robb after the show and I appreciate them taking the time to talk to us fans.

I actually spoke at length with Robb’s wife Jane before the show about a lot of things.  She handles Anvil’s merch and is a super nice person.  Thank you so much Jane for talking to me.

Also, before the show, since I was in Flint, Michigan, I went to see the so called Grand Funk Railroad bridge near the venue.

This particular bridge was graffitied with the names of the band members of Grand Funk Railroad, as well as the name of the band, back in the 70s and is still there today.

As a Grand Funk fan, I could not resist driving by and looking at it.

I don’t know how many more shows I have left in me, but I’m really glad I got to see this one.

    So much fun.

    Rock on guys!!
