My Birthday Concert: Def Leppard!!
- Date of Concert: July 30, 2000
- Location of Concert: Polaris Amphitheater in Columbus, OH
- Opener: The Unband
For my 18th birthday, I was able to see Def Leppard for the first time.
I had become a fan in 1999 when they were about to release their album Euphoria.
VH1’s Rock Show played their “Promises” video a lot, as well as other videos of theirs, so I got Euphoria and loved it.
And I saw their VH1 Behind The Music episode by this point.
So I wanted to see them.
And it just happened to be on my 18th birthday.
The Unband opened. I had never heard of them but they were ok.
Def Leppard ROCKED!!!!
They’re known for having very polished production on their albums, which is great. But live, they are much more raw, loud, and in your face.
They played a lot of songs and just did a phenomenal job.
This was a great birthday.
I still am a big fan as I type this in 2023, and they are still going strong, putting out great new albums and doing great tours.
Rock On!!!!!
