That Dirty Dirty Lowdown: Boz Scaggs Concert Review

Hi everyone!

Well, I just got home from my last concert for awhile.

And what a concert it was.
I went to the Keith Albee Theater in Huntington, WV to see one of my favorite singers/guitarists Boz Scaggs.

He was there as part of the Marshall Artist Series.

Boz played for about 90 minutes, had 3 encores, and played many songs from throughout his career.

Some of the songs he played include Jojo, Harbor Lights, Look What You’ve Done To Me (from the movie Urban Cowboy), Lido Shuffle, the amazing song Lowdown, Some Change, What Can I Say, some songs from his latest album A Fool To Care, and more.

He’s been a favorite of mine for some years now, but to be honest, up until this year, I was not familiar with a lot of his work.

For no real reason, one late night early this year, I was on YouTube and I saw his music video “Heart Of Mine”, from his amazing album Other Roads, and I played it over and over that night.

The song may as well be about me because I relate to the lyrics so much.

Soon after that, I bought nearly his entire discography (I still need to buy one studio and one live album) and have become a wayyyy bigger fan of his than I was before.

His voice really speaks to me, and he’s also a great guitar player, too.

He’s been doing this for many years (played guitar for Steve Miller Band before going out on his own) and is still at the top of his game.

He told the audience that this was his first time playing Huntington, and I honestly hope it is not his last.

If you have never heard this man’s music (I’m guessing most have), please do yourself a favor and do it.

And go see him in concert if you get a chance.

I cannot recommend this man’s music enough.

Well, like I said, if all goes right, this will be my last concert for awhile.

It’s been a fun ride for the past 17 years.

Now it’s time to hopefully go be a grown up for awhile.

But never say never.

You may see another review coming from me someday.

But until then, love and peace to everyone.

I hope you have enjoyed reading this review, as well as all the other reviews I have written, just as much as I have writing them.

Take care.
